Van Gogh's room at the Ravoux Inn

In the early hours of 29 July 1890, Vincent van Gogh passed away in Room number 5 on the top floor of the Ravoux Inn, in the sole company of his brother Theo and of his last paintings.
Canvases, some hardly dry, were everywhere, hanging from the walls, stuffed in the corner cupboard, piled up under the bed, rolled up in corners of the room…
Since 1993, over one million Van Gogh aficionados have visited this seven square metre garret. The artist's presence still lingers between the three old flaking walls dotted with the nail holes that once supported Vincent's canvases on their stretchers. The fourth wall of this room – void yet so charged with presence – has been fitted with a high-tech secure showcase specially designed to accommodate one of Vincent van Gogh's Auvers paintings … "one day or another".

The time has come for all those who care about Van Gogh’s dream to make sure that one of his paintings at long last comes home to his room in the Auberge Ravoux.
We have the “frame”, help us complete it with the painting!
